Clampitt is a writer, editor, and photographer who has worked for more than 20 years in educational publishing, both on staff and as a freelancer. She has worked for nearly every major educational publisher, including Scott Foresman, Glencoe/McGraw Hill, Prentice Hall, Holt, McDougal Littell, Harcourt Brace, HarperCollins, Riverside, and Southwestern Educational Publishing.
