Owner Long Meadow Ranch (former chairman, Robert Mondavi Corporation)

Long Meadow Ranch produces world class red wine, olive oil, grass fed beef and organic vegetables using simple sustainable farming methods. The Hall family has re-established vineyards first planted in the 1870s and we have resumed producing estate-bottled wine from the ranch's distinctive mountain terrior. They have also recently gone totally solar, generating enough power from their array to meet their own needs and sell power back to the grid, keeping about 70 tons of carbon monoxide a year from entering the environment and making a profit at the same time.
